Blogging has taken a bit of a backseat this week (and might be less often until Christmas), as I've been working extra shifts in the bar at my work to make some extra Christmas money - I'm still doing my normal job alongside it, 12 hour days are incredibly tiring and I've been sleeping quite a bit. I've still done a few fun things though!
The design agency we use at work sent us this Hotel Chocolat Christmas hamper, so much tastiness in one box! My favourite were the 'Tiddly Penguins' - we haven't actually had them yet but the name alone is adorable!
This year I took part in a blogger Secret Santa, and I was paired with Lucy, who picked me out some awesome gifts - I particularly love the lipstick, and really needed some new skincare products so this came at exactly the right time!
Today I went for lunch/shopping with one of my bestchums, we did some wandering in the shops around Islington and I really liked this badge making set - especially as all proceeds from each sale go to charity. He also bought me my Christmas present, this awesome book that has reproductions of Second World War Instruction leaflets - it's really interesting to read and look at (and yep, that's an afternoon gin next to it!)
For lunch, we went to Five Guys - I've heard lots of people go on about the American chain which recently opened its second London store in Islington, so we decided to see what the fuss was about. The burger and chips were really lovely - sort of like upmarket fast food, and really flavoursome. Maybe not quite worth the restaurant prices, but for a rare treat, I'd definitely go again. Although, for me, the best part was definitely the soda machine (I think my odd face in the picture below is definitely a product of TOO MUCH SUGAR!). It had tons of different varieties of fizzy drink, and I tried quite a few - the best being cherry cloudy lemonade and peach Fanta!
Hopefully I'll try and get a few blog posts done after work this week, as I have a few things I want to post about - but in the meantime, thanks for sticking around - hope you've had a great weekend!
