Lush Snowman Bath Bomb
Wednesday, 4 December 2013
Bathtime is one of my favourite standard times, and Christmas is one of my favourite once-a-year times, so when the two combine, it all gets real. Recently I've started working extra bar shifts in the theatre I work at, and I wanted to treat myself to a bit of a relaxing time to take my mind off 6 day weeks and 12 hour days. I was doing some Christmas shopping (read: buying a few bits for others then deciding to buy myself some boots) on Sunday, and had to nip into Lush. While I was there, I couldn't resist picking up this little dude (I think it's a dude. Yep. It's definitely a snowdude...) to drop in my bath later on.
Unfortunately, the lil chap isn't the most photogenic of bath bombs - but when something's taking a trip into your water to make it all nice, that isn't a huge worry unless you're being quite particular about giving it as a gift. The fizzing bath bomb has the same sweet vanilla scent as the Butterball ballistic, which I hadn't actually tried, but really liked when using this one. It's sweet without being sickly, and, like all Lush products, will give a lovely smell to your bathroom for ages after.
One downside was that it didn't add as much colour to my bath as I'd have liked - it turned it a light pinky colour - the bubble bar nose was also missing from mine, which was disappointing. But, the way my bath felt more than made up for it. It dissolved quite quickly, and the cocoa butter and ylang ylang oil felt really smooth and soothing on my skin, it felt really moisturising and relaxing. After using it, my skin definitely felt softer and non-greasy after I'd dried it, and the softness was still very noticeable the next day, something I don't find with many cheaper bath bombs/products.
At £2.50, it's one of Lush's lower priced bombs, which is good for how lovely it is! For the scent and the way it made my skin feel, I'd definitely consider purchasing this or the Butterball in future. Also - I love the current Lush packaging and Christmas bags!
What's your favourite Lush bath bomb? I need more to try!
