2 // Laura Mercier Undercover Pot, £29
4 // REN Hydra Calm Cleansing Milk, £18
6 // Becca Beach Tint (Watermelon), £20
As you're reading this, I'll be off to zombie school (yes, really...) and heading to Bournemouth for some partying! Yesterday on my lunch break I popped into Space NK, as I'm scouting out a new foundation, and came out with a whole lust list. The store assistant manager was absolutely lovely and tried out some products, including the REN cleansing milk (4) and Vita Mineral moisturiser (5), and in between, one of the Cane & Austin Retexturising pads (7). £48 would be the most I've ever paid out for anything beauty related, but the way they made my skin feel and look after even just one use was amazing.
I also tried out the Laura Mercier Moisture Supreme Foundation (3) and Undercover Pot (2). There's a huge blogger hype around the Silk Creme foundation at the moment, but as I have quite dehydrated skin, it was suggested I try this foundation instead, and really liked it - it gives a glowing finish. The Undercover pot is a little bit wonderful - it has an under eye concealer, general concealer and setting powder all in one, which is pretty useful as you don't need to lug three products around at once!
The Becca Beach Tint (6) would actually be a repurchase of sorts - I had one in a Glossybox ages ago that I managed to lose (sob), but the Watermelon shade gave a great colour and consistency. As for the Shu Uemera mascara (1), I've tried out a few of their products in the past (including their new range, which I'll have a review coming up for!) and been a fan!
I've always been a 'cheap and cheerful so I can have lots of it!' girl when it comes to make-up and skincare, but yesterday has actually made me reconsider my attitude. Although I'm a sucker for trying out new products, would it be better to buy a few amazing skincare products that work and I'll use regularly, rather than having a load of mid-price moisturisers hanging around in my drawers? I'd love to know your thoughts on this...
At the moment Space NK are giving a £10 discount on orders over £40, which is quite a hefty markdown and definitely worth taking advantage of! I'm not sure how long the promotion is running for, so get in quick!
*post in no way sponsored by or affiliated with Space NK - I just liked the stuff I tried!
