I've been shopping recently with a few people, and everyone seems to be commenting on how monochrome is a big thing this season. Which is great for me, as I tend to wear quite a lot of black! I already own a hat similar to this one (1), and I'm looking forward to actually wearing it when the weather gets a bit nicer!
This dress (5) is very country and western style, which isn't something I'd normally go for, but the all black with white detailing makes it look less obviously 'cowgirl', and I actually really like it. The sleeves are lovely too! As my choices were mainly more black than white, I threw in this top (3) as well - I'm a complete sucker for lace. The shoes (3) and bag (4) both have a similar kind of detailing, and I'd definitely wear them together. As for the shorts (7), ring (6) and watch (8) - I think they're all a pretty fun and more subtle way to work the trend!

I've had my eyes on those stripey shorts too! Just bought a striped monochrome shirt though so that's my fix, no more shopping allowed for me at the moment!

I'm not really a fan of this trend! I like pieces but I definitely love my brights. That kitty watch is the cutest.
