Barratts Heeled Chelsea Ankle Boots, £30* // Lace Ankle Socks, Topshop
I have to admit, in the past, I'd never paid much attention to Barratts. I knew they existed, but hadn't really considered it as somewhere I'd shop for shoes, and was just a bit...indifferent to it. But after having a chat with the lovely Kieron on Twitter (do give him a follow and check out his brilliant blog!), he kindly gave me the chance to try out a pair of shoes from the site, and it definitely opened my eyes to Barratts. After lots of hmm-ing and ahh-ing, my love for boots settled on these Heeled Chelsea Ankle Boots. I do already have another pair of heeled Chelsea boots, but they're quite a bit higher and have more of a 'going-out' feel to them, whereas these would be perfect for work and day to day wear. They're incredibly comfortable, especially for a rubbish heels-wearer like me, and absolutely made for lacy ankle socks!
I normally end up buying cheap shoes, and then wondering why they fall apart and make my feet hurt, resulting in me getting wet feet or hobbling around like a drunken ogre, but these boots are amazing quality and feel really sturdy and well made. I was actually very impressed with the choice at Barratts - for somewhere that's usually associated with school shoes - of stylish, on-trend footwear. The prices are really reasonable too, these boots are just £30 (down from the still perfectly acceptable price of £35). Considering the prices some stores have charged for simple Chelsea boots, pretty damn good!
Barratts have an up to 70% off sale at the moment, and I've also put together some of my other favourite picks from the site!

They look really good, like the Topshop ones! I love the studded boots too xx
ReplyDeleteThe studded boots were actually one of my original choices when I was narrowing it down, but they didn't have them in my size! x
DeleteLove the boots and adore your frilly socks! xxx
ReplyDeleteThankyou! x
DeleteThese are so cute! I have a pair of boots from Barratts too - I paid 60 pounds for them and they're so battered already :( take care of these beautiful boots! xxxx

£60 for boots still scares me! I will do :) x
DeleteThese look fab. I don't buy shoes from many high street shops because I have broad feet, it never used to bother me not been able to shop at the likes of barretts but I think recently they do have gorgeous shoes in which makes me jealous xxx
ReplyDeleteI have quite wide feet too - I should really be a size 3, but I usually get 4's for a little bit of roominess! x
DeleteLovely boots! How sturdy is the heel? I have such ridiculously weak ankles that if the heel has any wobble, my ankles ache after a small amount of walking :(

I'd say they're pretty sturdy - they're not too high either! x
DeleteThese looks lovely and they're such a bargain! xx

Thankyou! :) They definitely are! x
DeleteAll wedge sneakers high top are exquisitely released at UPERE.COM.
ReplyDeleteJust my kind of boots. I actually haven't shopped in Barratts for years for some reason. I like to buy good shoes rather than cheap ones but have been known to buy the odd cheapo pair from Primark too.
