MAC Girl About Town, £14
The second of two MAC posts...behold, my first ever MAC lipstick! I know right, I'm late to the party! But at £14, I've always thought they were crazy expensive. However, as I've seen them being reviewed and loved left, right and centre, I've slowly come around to the idea of purchasing one, and my choice was Girl About Town.
The shade is described as a 'bright blue fuschia', and it's definitely very fuschia! Luckily, this was exactly the kind of shade I was looking for. The colour is really pigmented, and you only need a small swipe for instant colour results. Initially I thought it was quite in-your-face compared to what I'm used to - but the more time I have it on for and have gotten used to how it looks on me, the more I've decided that it's definitely really wearable too, especially with toned down eye make-up, even during the day. It has a quite a creme, sheen-y finish, and feels really non-drying and creamy. The only slight downside is that I didn't find the wear time to be very long, and did have to reapply - but I can be quite bad with licking my lips, so it'll likely last a bit longer on other people. Despite this though, the colour payoff and lovely consistency is definitely worth it!
MAC Lipsticks, I'm a convert.
